To ensure physical distancing, we have far fewer tables in the restaurant, so will be operating on a booking-only basis to maximise our capacity and ensure we have a record of who’s on the premises for Test & Protect purposes.
Please note, in line with government guidelines, we can only accept reservations for up to 6 people, from a maximum of 2 households.
You will also be asked to provide any dietary requirements in advance, including any vegetarians or vegans, and we recommend pre-ordering lobster and shellfish platters to avoid disappointment.
Our tiny team is even smaller now, with just one chef in the kitchen to ensure compliance to guidelines and the viability of our business.
For that reason, we will be offering a slightly reduced menu. But don’t worry - we’re still serving up delicious fresh food & all your favourites!
To minimise waste and operate as contactless as possible, our menus will be presented to you digitally. Bring your smartphone and scan the QR code on your table, at which point the drinks/wine lists and menus will be visible on your own device.
We’ve altered our bookings system to ensure our customers arrive at the premises as staggered as possible. However, you may still be arriving at the same time as another party and so ask that you observe and adhere to the instructions.
You will be entering a 1 metre zone, but please maintain a 2 metre distance from other diners, and wait in line before entering the restaurant, using the ground markings as guidance. Please wear a face covering when you come in - until you are seated and settled - and any time you move around the restaurant. This is to ensure your own safety as well as others, and is a statutory government requirement.
Once inside, please use the hand sanitiser provided and one of our team will greet you and show you to your table. If we are busy, just hold tight - we will be with you very soon.
We ask that you remain seated and do not approach the bar for service or payment.
We’ve rearranged the restaurant and carefully measured our tables before every service to ensure social distancing is maintained between diners (at least 1 metre apart).
However, it’s not practical or feasible for our team to provide the usual standard of service at this distance, so you can expect your waitress to come closer but maintain distancing whenever possible. Rest assured that our staff are taking all the necessary precautions and you are in safe hands - we carry hand sanitiser in our aprons to use frequently in between hand-washing, and will maintain as much distance as possible, whenever possible, as well as wearing face coverings. Please be aware that you may be required to pass plates and drinks to avoid our close proximity to you.
Everything at your table will either be disposable, for single use only, or be sanitised after each use. That includes condiments, so these will be provided on request.
When ya gotta go, ya gotta go! But please maintain a 2 metre distance from other diners when you move around the premises, and if you can, hold back if there are customers at the door waiting to be seated.
Please wear your face covering when up and about and always use the hand sanitiser provided on entry and exit of the facilities. We recommend using a paper towel to open the door on your way out and have provided a bin by the sanitiser too.
When it’s time to say cheerio, as much as we’ve missed you and as good as that bottle of wine was...remember it’s still nae cuddlin’!
Please put on your face covering again and maintain a 2 metre distance and where possible, avoid leaving when there is already a queue at the door. When you leave, if you could please exit and move to the right hand side to avoid bumping into other diners on their way in.
